Ms. Alesia Sheverdak
BMUS, ARCT is an advanced level teacher. A seasoned choir conductor, performer, vocalist, pianist and composer, she has been teaching at NMS since 2008.
She is currently pursuing to join the College of Examiners with the RCM. Alesia adjudicates at festivals and competitions. Always passionate about music, she takes pleasure in discovering talents and unique abilities in every student to help them maximize their potential in the music field.
Ms. Mars, Marsden Barrick BA,
Mars has been teaching violin, piano and ukulele at NMS since 2009. She is a member of the Northumberland Orchestra.
Mars enjoys assisting her students in RCM exams and festivals with great results. She has a very quiet but determined nature and her students adore her.
Mars is also our Fiddler Group leader
Piano teacher extraordinaire. Ann has achieved Grade 10 Level RCM status and teaches junior and early intermediate piano. She excels in teaching Theory Rudiments and Harmony and her students achieve high examination marks . Ann is a gracious and dedicated music teacher who has demonstrated here commitment to all of her students and fellow teachers. Ann is always readily available to step in for sub teaching when needed.Everybody love Ms. Ann.
Ms. Linda Kramer, Honours graduate of Humber College, in jazz piano performance and composition.
Linda , is working on her ARCT in piano. Linda is also powerhouse teacher with an extraordinary vocal range. She plays many other instruments and always has a surprise up her sleeve for our yearly recital. Linda encourages her students to be the best they can and readily introduces them to new genres. Linda is a choir conductor and performer.
Ms. Nancy Davidson, BA in Music Education.
Nancy is a certified Orff Instructor and Story Teller. Nancy has over 25 years music teaching experience. She has written and published a Recorder Student Workbook. Nancy is a choir master voice coach, and woodwinds teacher. She has enormous patience, guidance and great sense of humour.
Mr. Stacey Thompson, guitar and piano.
Stacey is a four time best-in-class
Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) medal winner. He has obtained Level 8 Guitar and Level 10 piano through the RCM. He is currently working on his ARCT in piano. He has travelled with a cover rock band as lead guitarist and backing/lead vocalist. He is currently working on writing and recording songs for a coming collection.
Stacey has been involved in several musical charitable events, and has received many awards and scholarships through the Kiwanis and Rotary music festivals.
